Online Merch Order FAQ's
How do I care for my garments?
For best results, please wash garments on cold and inside out with no bleach or fabric softeners. Hang dry or tumble dry low is recommended. If you need to iron, choose the lowest setting. High heats will break down the printed logo and reduce the longevity of the design.
Will you carry pre printed merchandise in the store?
We will carry a small selection of pre printed merchandise in store for our local Ripon schools. Additionally we will offer Pick 'N Press for the majority of our collections so that customers can walk away with a garment same day.
How does Pick 'N Press work?
Pick your garment, pick your design, press it while you wait! Most of the items in store now will be intentionally blank as a means to encourage customers to use our Pick 'N Press system. We will carry a large selection of neutral/school colored garments as well as school approved designs throughout the year. Come create a custom piece of merch with us today!
How will I know when my order is ready?
We will send you TWO emails- One at the time that the order is placed and an additional one when your order is ready for pick up/shipping. We will ALWAYS email you at the email address that was provided at the time the order is placed. We highly encourage customers to double check the spelling of their email before they finalize the order as we cannot change it once the order has been placed.
If you placed an order and have not heard from us, please check your spam email as well in case our messages got filtered there.
At this time we are unable to call or text with order updates as we at experiencing a higher than normal volume of orders. We appreciate your understanding and encourage you to reach out to us via email at support@riponprintstudio.com if you have any questions. Please give us 24-48 hours to respond.
What happens if I forget to pick up my order?
Ripon Print Studio reserves the right to dispose of unclaimed orders at their leisure.
We will hold all online school orders for one academic school year (August to May). We will hold all other merchandise for 1 year from the date the order was placed. We will attempt to contact you multiple times throughout that year to try to ensure that you received our pick up notification.
Online Merchandise Terms & Conditions
Turnaround Time
All of our merchandise is custom and made to order. Orders typically take 9-12 business days to manufacture and another approximately 2-4 business days for shipping.
Returns/Exchanges
At this time, we are not offering returns or exchanges for any online merchandise except for our local Ripon schools as we have consistent foot traffic to the store from local schools to resell returned merchandise.
The only other exception would be a mistake on our part or on the part of the garment manufacturer that resulted in the receipt of a defective merchandise. We take all returns on a case by case basis, in person, once we have a chance to examine the defective merchandise.
Schools that are eligible for returns/exchanges include Ripon Christian, Ripon High School, Colony Oak, Park View, Ripona, Ripon Elementary, and Weston.
Partial Order Pick Ups
Ripon Print will not allow for partial order pick up/shipping, except for extenuating circumstances determined by Ripon Print Studio. Customers must wait until the entirety of the order is complete before said order will be shipped or marked ready for pick up.
Picking Up & Receiving Orders
Should you opt to pick up your order, you will be required to sign for your order at pick up. Anyone may pick up your order for you, but once an order has been signed for, RPS releases all responsibility/liability for any order inaccuracies.
We are also not responsible for unclaimed orders after one complete school year.
Shipping
Ripon Print Studio is not responsible for lost or damaged packages once in mail carrier's possession. Should an order be lost or damaged in the shipping process or is stolen off a doorstep/mailbox, please contact your local carrier to file a claim for compensation.

Substitute Garments
Ripon Print Studio reserves the right to substitute garments (within the school's branding guidelines) for any reason. Reasons include, but are not limited to- backordered items, product price increase, product availability, shipping delays etc. We will always guarantee mindful substitutions that have the same color/fabric/style.
Bulk/Custom Order Terms & FAQ
How do I get started on a bulk or custom order?
To get started on a bulk or custom order, please follow our step by step process under the "Get Started" tab. We will walk you through the process and let you know what we need from you!
Quote Approval
Once we receive your files and job details, we will reach back out to you with an official quote within 24-48 hours. This quote will come to you via email from our automated invoicing system which will prompt you to click "approve" or "decline" when you open the invoice. If the quote is approved, we move on to payment and artwork. If the quote is declined, we will take the feedback and edit the quote details until we reach an approval or a final decline.
TERMS:
- We will NOT move on to the next step until the quote is approved via the approval buttons provided via email in our automated system.
- Due to the nature of our invoicing system, we cannot send your quote any other way other than email.
- If the quote is not approved with enough time to complete the project before your due date, that completion date will be pushed back.
- Any changes made to the order or to the artwork may result in further changes to the quote and hence send the project BACK to the quote approval stage.
- The quote and pricing details are valid for 30 days. A quote approved after 30 days will require us to reevaluate if pricing has changed and potentially change you a new quote.
What kind of file do you need for artwork?
Artwork can either be provided by the customer or provided by Ripon Print Studio via one of our on staff graphic designers.
If you are providing your own artwork, most projects require layered or vector artwork created in a vector based program such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. Most Canva files work as well and we will guide you on how to download the correct format from Canva. If that doesn't work we will encourage you to invite us to be a collaborator so that we can download it for you.
If you would like Ripon Print to design or provide your artwork, you may incur "Art Time" fees which start at $1 per minute/$60 per hour. We do our best to estimate ahead of time how much time we think it will take to create your file or get your current file into the correct format for printing. We will let you know before we begin working on the project how much art time you are going to incur and if that is approved in the quote approval process, we will adjust your invoice accordingly.
Artwork Approval
Once the quote is approved, we will move onto virtual proofs/artwork. This is the point in the process where we take your artwork or inspiration photos and create a virtual mock up of the finished product for you to view. This mock up will come to you via email from our automated invoicing system which will prompt you to click "approve" or "decline" when you open the invoice. If the proof is approved, we move on to either payment or production. If the proof is declined, we will take the feedback and make edits until we reach an approval.
TERMS:
- We will NOT move on to the next step until the artwork is approved via the approval buttons provided via email in our automated system. Due to the nature of our invoicing system, we cannot send your artwork approval any other way other than email.
- ART TIME CHARGES: Generally speaking, if the customer is providing a print ready artwork file, we will not charge an artwork creation fee. However if there is no artwork provided OR the provided artwork is in a state/format that we cannot use, we will reach back out to you to let you know that artwork charges have incurred before proceeding. Once the artwork charges are approved, we will then proceed to proofs.
- RELEASE OF FILES: Any artwork generated by Ripon Print Studio is property of Ripon Print Studio and will not be released unless otherwise stated and agreed upon in written format with both parties. Please contact us about artwork release packages and we will add that to your invoice as needed.
- ARTWORK CHANGES: If your artwork needs further changes that what was initially quoted or paid for, you may incur further artwork charges depending on the intricacy of the edits. We will notify you ahead of time if this is the case.
- ARTWORK TURNAROUND: If the art is not approved with enough time to complete the project before your due date, that completion date will be pushed back.
- COLOR MATCHING: Artwork is a digital mock up of what will be produced. Artwork colors may vary on the finished product. We do NOT color match so please be aware that there may be a slight color variance between the digital mock up on your screen and the finished product. If you have a specific PMS color you would like us to match, let us know and we will do our best to match it by hand, but please know that it will not be a 100% guarantee match.
- IMAGE SIZES: Imprint sizes and proportions for apparel printing may vary from digital mock up to the finished product. Imprint sizes are based on industry standards and the capability of our machinery so they are left up to the discretion of the production team. Should you wish to specify custom dimensions (i.e. the logo on the front of the shirt needs to be ___ inches wide), we must know that at the time of artwork approval.
Collecting Payment
When we reach this phase of your order, we will generate a link for payment via our automated invoicing system. If you would prefer to submit your payment in person, we are able to accept credit card, cash, check, or Apple Pay here in store at 215 W Main Street in Ripon.
TERMS:
- Production or ordering of materials will not begin until a payment or previously agreed upon deposit amount has been made.
- LATE PAYMENTS: Any clients on a Net invoicing system (i.e. schools, churches, and any other previously agreed upon account) are required to submit their payment before the terms of their payment date. If payment is NOT made within that window, your account may be subject to a late fee and we will not be able to move forward with new projects until that late fee has been paid.
Production
Once we have artwork finalized and collected payment, we will move on to Production. On average, production time is approximately a 9-12 business day process depending on the printing method and the current printing queue.
Each printing method may have a different production time and we will let you know what to expect when the order is placed. If you would like your items by a specific date or sooner than the average anticipated turnaround time, please specify that ahead of time as we will do our very best to accommodate your due date.
TERMS:
- Ripon Print Studio reserves the right to use the print method best suited for the garment and applicable artwork. This sometimes can result in a variety of print methods used within the one job.
- Imprint sizes and proportions for apparel printing may vary from digital mock up to the finished product. Imprint sizes are based on industry standards and the capability of our machinery so they are left up to the discretion of the production team. Should you wish to specify custom dimensions (i.e. the logo on the front of the shirt needs to be ___ inches wide), we must know that at the time of artwork approval.
- Should garment need to be substituted for any reason, Ripon Print reserves the right to substitute with a suitable similar garment. This is taken on a case by case basis and is incredibly rare. We will reach out to you should this need to occur.
- Customers may incur a rush fee if the order is outside of our standard turnaround production time. See below for more details on rush fees.
Color Matching
Artwork provided by Ripon Print or by the customer is a digital mock up of what will be produced. Artwork colors may vary on the finished product from the digital rendering. We do NOT color match so please be aware that there may be a slight color variance between the digital mock up on your screen and the finished product.
If you have a specific PMS color you would like us to match, let us know and we will do our best to match it by hand, but please know that it will not be a 100% guarantee match. There are additional charges to accommodate this request and are determined at the time of the quote process.
Unless specified otherwise, the color that is approved in the digital mock up/artwork approval phase is what will be produced for the final product.
TERMS:
- Certain printing methods allow us to run color test swatches to get close to a specific PMS color match. Let us know if you are interested in pursuing this for your project and we can discuss fees associated with that.
- Test swatch printing is not available for all printing methods or projects. Color test printing is taken on a case by case basis and Ripon Print Studio reserves the right to decline swatch printing on any project for any reason.
Rush Fees
A rush fee will be applied when an order is due outside of the standard turnaround and hence requires us to move your project to the front of the queue. A percentage related charge will be applied to your order, with a minimum of $25 and a maximum of $250.
TERMS:
- Rush fees are taken on a case by case basis and are dependent on the product and the current printing queue.
- Ripon Print reserves the right to add a rush fee when necessary.
- The $25 minimum is not negotiable, even if it is a small order.
Reprints
Reprints are done on a case by case basis depending on the order type, staff availability & desired turnaround, product/material availability, etc. Should you receive an order that you are unsatisfied with, please contact us to discuss a potential reprint.
Please note though that Ripon Print is not liable for any damaged, lost, or stolen items once your order leaves our facility.
